Ok let me start by saying that my code writing knowledge is roughly the astrophysics knowledge that the monkeys that NASA sent up years ago had.

There are constant requests and conversations regarding Facebook event import. There was someone selling a plugin to do this on codecanyon, worked well until Facebook updated their api’s. The author of plugin says he cannot get location addresses now and has basically stopped supporting (there goes 15 dollars for me and a mess of other people.

The makers of this phenomenal plugin have not come out with an import plugin. For whatever reason that is their choice and I thank them for a great program.

The folks over at Events made easy (EME) which I believe shares some history with Event Manager have a Facebook import. Like their import not keen on the main EME plugin.

Can one of the many talented folks here look at the EME facebook iport plugin and see if itcan be the basis of and importer for EM.

  • Hi Ron,

That’s not something that we’re able to comment on but maybe someone else can…

    Hi ronfedele,
I think that the problem is not Facebook import or integration, but how to insert event through code, without using backend.

There are a lots of working codes to import event from facebook.

In these days I managed to connect to my facebook event page events:
if you want I could send you the code, even with google geolocalization code to convert address into GPS Coordinate or vice versa, but the problem I personally had is how to save data into EM and display events in backend.
I’m very close to do it, anyway ??

EM is a great plugin, without doubts, but I don’t understand why a simple event creation is so difficult or why support can’t help us about…
