Facebook Fan Page

  • I have been trying to get my facebook fan page to load in the widget section. It works fine in FF 3 but not in IE8. I looked in the Facebook support site and found this:

    * Browser Issues: We’ve seen long load times in certain browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Safari) when the Web page containing the Fan Box references many other JavaScript libraries, especially with delayed execution. To work around this issue, do one of the following:

    1. Move the FeatureLoader script line (<script src=”https://www.facebook.com/js/api_lib/v0.4/FeatureLoader.js.php&#8221; type=”text/javascript”></script>) to the top of your Web page, right after the opening <body> tag.
    2. Render the Fan Box in an IFrame, as described above.

    I moved the script like it says in the first suggestion, did not help; still works in FF not in IE. I did not try the IFrame yet because it seemed odd to have to do that.
    Am I missing something?
