I have never not had the Jetpack Facebook feed widget not work on a site, but for some reason on the site I am building, it is not showing up. Any advice?

    Hi there,

Your site is behind a Coming Soon page, so I’m not able to check what’s going on.

Have you pasted your Facebook page URL into the widget as explained at https://jetpack.com/support/extra-sidebar-widgets/facebook-like-box-widget/?

And is that Facebook page published?

Some browser add-ons can block that widget from loading, so also check if the widget appears if you view the site in an incognito/private browser session, or with all browser add-ons disabled.

I am still building the site, that is why the coming soon is still up.

I do have the extra widgets enabled on Jetpack.

We’ll need the site to be publicly accessible in order to determine why it’s not working.

We offer private support at https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support if you want, but you will need a paid plan for that.

How long do I need to make it live? I would not like the client to see it before it is done.

Long enough for us to see it, we check these forums twice a day.

I have it turned off. Let me know when you are done so that I can turn it back on again.

I’m seeing a lot of failed Facebook scripts in the browser JS console.

Does this happen with all other plugins deactivated, and does it continue under the Twenty Twenty theme?

    (@jboetger)

The theme is Executive Pro and I haven’t tried turning off the other plugins. Like I said, I have never had this problem with the jetpack facebook plugin and am frustrated.

Would you please try deactivating every plugin except Jetpack and switch to the Twenty Twenty theme?

Is there any improvement? If so, reactivate each one individually until you find the conflict.

I can’t lose all of the customizing that I have done with this theme. I tried deactivating the plugin and reactivating it, but still no luck.

If you are able to install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Did the health check thing and the facebook plugin still didn’t show.

Now the inside pages (About and Contact) of my site are messed up with the twenty twenty theme. What do I do now!

If you deactivate Troubleshooting Mode, the site will go back to normal.

Again, don’t worry, Troubleshooting Mode in Health Check only affects how you see the site, not your visitors.

What is the URL of the Facebook page you’re trying to use in the widget?
