    Hi,

If a site already has Facebook for WooCommerce plugin should I still add pixel code to WooCommerce Pixel Manager? Will it load the scripts twice? Or it will track better?

    Regards,

    Hi @kinduweb

If a site already has Facebook for WooCommerce plugin should I still add pixel code to WooCommerce Pixel Manager?

Only if you want to switch from the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin to the WooCommerce Pixel Manager.

Will it load the scripts twice? Or it will track better?

Yes, it would load the scripts twice and also fire the events twice. That’s not better. It would make the collected data less accurate.

So you need to decide to use one or the other plugin for tracking.

Let me know if you have more questions.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

I see the Pixel Manager trigger auto purge Litespeed cache whenever a plugin is updated. Is it possible to stop that?

    Hi @kinduweb

It is necessary to purge the cache since we usually make changes to the front-end output. Without a cache purge you would run into unexpected issues, and as a consequence we’ll have unnecessary support requests.

Besides, it is best practice to purge the cache whenever you update plugins because of the same reasons.

If you want to reduce cache purges through this plugin, simply reduce the update frequency of this plugin.

It is indeed. But Pixel Manager trigger purge when other plugins are updated too. Which is annoying as not all of the changes on front end. I’ve checked and confirmed it by deactivating Pixel Manager. Could you please fix it or give me a hook?

That should not happen. I’ll look into it.

For your info, I’m using Litespeed cache on that site and the “Purge All On Upgrade” option is turned off.

Ok. I fixed this in the plugin and will release it with the next version. From then on the plugin will only flush the cache if the plugin itself has been updated.

    Thanks for reporting this!

    @kinduweb

I’ve released the new version (1.17.2) which handles flushing the cache correctly. It now will only flush the cache, if the Pixel Manager for WooCommerce is being updated.

    Kind regards
