    Hi,

I modified the “Brand” for a WooCommerce product into the Facebook for WooCommerce advanced options (“Show advanced options” into the product details – Facebook), I updated the product and I got the following error:

    Facebook for WooCommerce error :
Unsupported post request. Object with ID ‘3592391064208874’ does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api

    What does it mean?
What does “Unsupported post request” mean?
And what is “Object with ID ‘3592391064208874’”. What is this ID? Where does this ID come from and how can I understand what it is?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi @fotske

    Thanks for your question!

I see that you modified the following field:

What does “Unsupported post request” mean?

This usually means that your product no longer has a corresponding product on your Facebook catalog, or the link between your product on WooCommerce and on Facebook catalog has been broken due to various reasons, generally, it’s a synchronization issue.

Do you see any detail within Facebook Product Sync section?

If you do, please click on it and see if the product link loads fine.

Else, you’d want to test to create a new product with complete details and see if Facebook metadata is generated within the same section.

    I hope that helps!

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi,

I see the Facebook ID into the “Facebook product sync” section (it’s the ID of the “parent” product which has 2 variations).
    I see exactly this:

    Facebook ID: 3592391064208874
    ID des variantes :
    24715: 3564691906977670
    24712: 5169846779699973

However, when I click on “3592391064208874”, it opens this page (https://www.facebook.com/3592391064208874) which does not have anything but I think that this URL is strange. It looks like something is missing in the URL, isnt’it?

However, when I check in my Facebook catalogue, the product is there.

The URL is fine, but since it’s empty, it’s a sign the there is an issue with the sync.

However, when I check in my Facebook catalogue, the product is there.

    That’s interesting!

Can you please click the product detail on your Facebook catalog and share the link in your reply?

Is it the same product with the Facebook ID (3592391064208874) that you mentioned before? You can find it when you edit the product on the backend.

Here’s the example of my product detail on Facebook catalog:

    Look forward to your reply.

    Hi,

Indeed there seems to be a problem with the sync of this product because the ID is not the same in Facebook as it is in WooCommerce.

Parent ID in WooCommerce = 3592391064208874 (and I don’t find a parent ID in the Facebook catalogue, I only see the 2 variations).
    Variations ID in WooComerce:
    24715: 3564691906977670 (= 100g bag)
    24712: 5169846779699973 (= 40g bag)
In the Facebook catalogue, it seems to be a “group of articles” (I don’t know the exact name in English, “ID du groupe d’articles = wc_post_id_485” in French).
Content ID MAT002_24715 (FYI “MAT002” is the product code of the 100g bag in WooCommerce) : ID 3188663681237714
Content ID MAT004_24712 (FYI “MAT004” is the product code of the 40g bag in WooCommerce) : ID = 3575821509177786

How is it possible that the ID of the product is different in the Facebook catalogue and in WooCommerce? And how to solve this?
I only have this problem with this specific product which is a product with variations. I don’t have this problem with the simple products (with no variations).

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi @fotske

It does, indeed, seem that your products are out of sync. As a first step in solving this, could you please proceed to Marketing > Facebook > Connection on your site, and Enable debug mode by clicking the Log plugin events for debugging on.

Then, proceed to Marketing > Facebook > Product sync and click the Sync Products button.

Depending on how many products you have, this process can take some time.

Once you are sure the process has completed, please check your catalog to ensure products have updated. If they have updated, and the variations have been removed, all is good.

If not, then try deleting the product from your Facebook catalog manually. If this does not work, we will have to take the next step in the troubleshooting process.

For this, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We will be able to help you further there, as we will be able to investigate your log files generated by the debugging process.
