Facebook Group posting

  • Hi, I bought this theme “listable”… I want people when posting a new listing for it to go to the Facebook Group also. The Jetpack share or publicize works nicely for a business page or person page but gives no options for a Facebook Group.

    Does anyone know of a free or premium plugin I can acheive this with? Below is the link for my site. I believe the listings are treated like a blog post.

    Facebook has not yet provided a public API for auto-sharing to Groups, so there’s no way for Jetpack (or really any plugin) to do this.

    For now, shares to Facebook Groups will still need to be manual.

    Really…. even an open group? I was seeing some plugins that state sharing to groups. But I have also heard what you are saying and is why I posed the question here. Thanks for the response.

    I suppose the other plugins may have a round-about way of doing it. I only have experience on this matter with Jetpack and other plugins which use Facebook’s public API, which doesn’t allow posting to Groups yet.
