    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Jetpack will indeed use the Featured Image as Open Graph Image Meta tag, if you’ve defined a Featured Image for your post, if that image is larger than 200x200px, and if you don’t use any other Open Graph plugin to manage Open Graph meta tags on your site.

    We don’t apply any cropping, though, we serve the image as is, and Facebook does the cropping to match the different formats available on different Facebook pages (newsfeed, page, personal timeline, mobile, ….). I’m afraid you won’t be able to control how Facebook crops your images.
