There is no option to post the message as private?

You can try the Facebook debug tool; but note that even if you have the proper opengraph tags in your page/post, there is no guarantee FB will properly grab the image every time. They have over 1.5 billion users, and from time to time they simply time out either due to their system or yours, and not always capture the image.

Yoast only helps you put the proper tags into your meta data — they have nothing else to do with whether or not FB captures the item.

    This is a public forum.

For private tech support, you need to use the paid/pro version.

(I don’t work here; just long time user.)

I’m also haveing the same issues. I’ve seen a post online that said there was a social option in the Plugin that would allow us to click/check add open graph meta data. I don’t see this options anymore. Has this now been removed.

See this post here, this is where I found the info!

@iabm If you have a similar issue, please open a new request. That way it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance. Thanks!

@internetmix A report is currently open for the missing image width and height tags when using something other than the feature image. The missing width and height tags may cause Facebook to not show the correct image.

If you would like to follow the progress of the report, you can do that here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/2151

@amboutwe, I did a new test today and the image appeared without adding the functions of the link you posted. I think it takes a while for the image to be cached.
