Facebook is supporting this? What a joke

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this plugin. The description makes it sound like it has a lot of capability built-in – yes you can adjust the formatting but you need to be a programmer to do it.

ABSOLUTELY NO support for custom fields, despite this paragraph from the description:

It’s important to note that if you use meta fields to add extra text, images or videos to your Posts, Facebook will expect you to add these to your Instant Articles output too. This plugin includes hooks to help you do that.

HOW??? Again, you have to be a PHP programmer. No documentation to help. A few folks in the community have shared their code (thank you!) to help but of course not every situation is covered.

I’m still working on my issues (I want custom fields used for the author link and title) but with no updates in over a month, I wonder how much time and effort I should put into customizing for a plugin that appears abandoned…
