Facebook like discussion in side bar?

Hello!

I’m trying to set up a sidebar where you can let your users have a discussion. I would like it to look a bit like a discussion thread or Facebook that enables quick and easy writing.

I’ve tried to use the WP tlk.io widget and that kind of works but I need something that’s a bit less like a chat and a bit more like a discussion thread or guestbook. I’ve tried some of the guestbook plugins but I’ve not managed to get any of them to work in a reliable good way.

Are there any other ways to create what I’m looking for. I thought it would be something available but I cannot find anything.
