Facebook likes not showing

    Today I have discovered that my Facebook page ‘Likes’ are not showing, the Plugin is set with my page details when clicked on it takes you to the page.

    They were showing, not now?

    Ok, then the reason is probably the following:

    The free plugin uses one API (across all plugin users) which allows the plugins to make a certain number of daily requests to get the counts (every time a website is loaded a request is made to Facebook to get the counts). Due to the high popularity of the plugin a lot of calls are made from all plugin users, so that when the daily limit is reached (Facebook doesn’t allow unlimited calls) it will return “0” for all other calls that day.

    This means: if your site has been called up early in the day, it will still show counts, but later not.

    In this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/ we implemented that it allows you to (easily) set up your own Facebook API, so you don’t have to share it with other users, and will not reach the limits.
