Facebook login Gives error – Missing header/body separator

    Upgraded to WP 4.6 and now I get this message in the pop up box after trying to login with facebook. If you are already logged in, you obviously won’t know this is a problem.

    Something went wrong: Missing header/body separator

    I can’t be the only one with this problem. I am also getting these errors with Jetpack, so this isn’t the only plugin with the issue.

    I had to find my php.ini file on my server (usually located at /etc/php5/cgi/php.ini) (since I system admin myself) and find disable_functions . Then removed curl_exec from the list of disabled functions. This fixed the issue with both Social Connect and Jetpack. Jetpack recommends not disabling curl_exec . Jetpack advised me a ticket was open for this issue ( https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/37700 ) . So look out for a 4.6.1 , marking this as resolved, even though at the time of writing it isn’t entirely fixed, unless you can fix it via php.ini .
