    Hi,
I have had some problems starting just last night. I want to show the feed from my personal Facebook page on the sidebar of my website. After upgrading to the latest version of WD Facebook Feed I could not create a feed with the profile option. When I go to try to add a new feed it requires me to press the options link switching me to the options page and I must enter an App ID and secret code. Those boxes are there as in the older version but the text link in WD Facebook Feed that I normally use to login to Facebook to initialize the app is not showing.
As an experiment I tried to create a feed using the “group” option and that seemed to work fine.
Any help that you could give would be much appreciated.

I uninstalled the newest version and re-installed an older version. The link is now back and the options page looks normal. However, there is now an error that says Facebook requires app_id. I have entered the app ID in the dialogue box but for some reason it is not being acknowledged when I press the link and the error appears.
Strange that I am having trouble now as I have had experience installing the plugin several times in the past with no negative effect and everything usually runs normally.

I don’t understand why there is a “resolved” box on my original comment when the issue has not been “resolved”. The Facebook login link is still missing in version 5.0.2.1. I cannot rollback to an earlier version now because it will not allow me to use the profile function on the options page. Even when I could use the profile option, I still got ” Facebook requires App_ID error”. Seems to stem from upgrading to the latest version of WordPress. Be aware. I will obviously not be the only one that this will affect.

    Hi @steve-large!

I must have accidentally marked it resolved, sorry about that, I updated.

We are not aware of any known bugs regarding App ID with the latest version of WordPress. But could we check the problem on your site?

Or if you can replicate the issue on a test environment, we can check there instead.
    Cheers!
