Facebook “New Page Experience” not connecting via Publicize

    I have recently stuck with an issue that Publicize stopped publishing posts from one of my blogs to the connected page. I didn’t get time to troubleshoot but one thing that was noticeable is the connected page was automatically updated to the New Pages Experience.

    This new page experience is actually annoying for me on Facebook as well that to manage this specific page I have to switch my account profile to this page from top right corner.     On the Jetpack connection end from https://wordpress.com/marketing/connections/sitename.com (dummy url) when I try to connect Facebook, it brings the login screen and present to me the Facebook pages that I own. All of the pages are listed including that page (the one having issues). Now if I tick/check any of the pages, e.g. an old page and a page (with new page experience), only the ones that are old appear on the back screen.

    I can tell that “this new page experience” on facebook has many different options that are not available on any of my other pages. One major difference is that I can not manage that page without switching to that page as profile.

    I have also reported the issue to Facebook via Help & Support section but I am not sure how this would end up with.

    Note: I can not change that page to old experience as there is no option to do that. At least I didn’t find any.

    I’ve seen you’ve reported having issues with a specific Facebook page when trying to connect it on Publicize; however, that’s expected behavior since Publicize doesn’t support pages managed through Facebook’s New Page Experience.

    Wow! hope Facebook won’t automatically switch my other pages to the New Page Experience.

    I just found an option in the page to switch back to Classic page. https://imgur.com/gallery/01W8O7s
    But it says temporary because Facebook is Classic Pages are going away sooner or later.

    Thanks for reporting back and providing that screenshot of your findings! Someone else would definitely benefit from it to switch their Facebook page to the old Facebook Classic Pages.

    I know this is temporary since Classic Pages will be discontinued in the future, but let’s hope this works until there’s a way to add Facebook New Page Experience compatibility.
