    Hello @aseverirene

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin but I don’t see an issue with the post you shared as the image shows; see screenshot. I understand you don’t want to upload a social image for each post which Facebook will fetch.

The og:image tag (which is what Facebook looks for and fetches when you share) is only populated when the post or page contains a valid image, based on the following hierarchy:

    • A user-defined image “Facebook image” in the Social tab of the Yoast metabox.
    • A user-defined “Featured image” for the page (only for posts).
    • A prominent image from the page’s content.
    • The “Social default image” from the template in Search Appearance.
    • The site’s fallback/default social image in WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > General > Site Basics

In summary, if you don’t upload a social image, it uses your featured image and so on and so forth.

Yes, I know all that… It must have been a temporary hickup from the FB Sharing Debugger, because I tried all weekend to no avail. At all.

    Thanks anyway for you response…

    Kind regards,

    Irene
