    The facebook page likes/ follows are not updating on the website in real time. Actually, the number doesn’t appear at all. I’ve to manually feed in the number, then only it shows the number.

    The free plugin uses one API (across all plugin users) which allows the plugins to make a certain number of daily requests to get the counts (every time a website is loaded a request is made to Facebook to get the counts). Due to the high popularity of the plugin a lot of calls are made from all plugin users, so that when the daily limit is reached (Facebook doesn’t allow unlimited calls) it will return “0” for all other calls that day.

    This means: if your site has been called up early in the day, it will still show counts, but later not.

    In this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/ we implemented that it allows you to (easily) set up your own Facebook API, so you don’t have to share it with other users, and will not reach the limits.
