Facebook Page Publish giving error

  • Until a couple of days ago this app was working OK. Nothing has changed, and I have checked through all the settings, but now I get this message and it doesn’t publish. 

    Facebook is not reachable from your server: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
Check your connection!
[Error occured at line 499]

Your connection options could not be validated.

    I tried contacting the server, but they say this is a plugin problem.

    Does anyone have any ideas how to proceed from here?

    Any help much appreciated.

  • Same problem here, also with the plugin of Twitter.

    Worked fine until yesterday and today I get the following error:

    Facebook returned an unexpected error: (#240) Requires a valid user is specified (either via the session or via the API parameter for specifying the user.
    Try to resolve this issue, update the plugin or inform the author about the problem.

    I checked the plugin settings. Nothing was changed and everything is setup correctly.

    I figured what the problem is. Facebook recently added a “Voice” tab where you can post, comment and like as the admin of the page (for example Charity4You) or as yourself (Tina Smith). If you are logged in Facebook and you have checked to post as yourself (Tina Smith), the publish plugin errors, but if you switch to “Voice” as Admin of the page (Charity4You) then it publishes successfully.

    Did you find a solution to this topic? I just tried changing the settings, so that I will always post as the fanpage, when I′m on it, but that has no effect, the error remains…
