Hi, anyone know what needs to be excluded for the Facebook pixel to fire? Same with Google tracking code.

I’m using the Facebook provided plugin, it does not fire when site is “Autoptimized”

The code for both FB and GA appear to be untouched when “Autoptimized”, so there must be some .js somewhere it’s relying on.

    Thanks in Advance.

the facebook pixel code seems completely stand-alone and does not seem to depend on any other JS being present. that being said your event-tracking (for FB & GA) is not standalone, but requires (at least) jquery.js to be available early.

what I would do if I were you:
    * activate AO and keep CSS & HTML optimization (the problem is JS)
    * make sure js/jquery/jquery.js is excluded from JS optimization
    * make sure “also aggregate inline JS” is not active
    * test and check your browser console for errors

and feel free to follow up on this here.

    Hi,

Sorry to interrupt here but I seem to be having the same problem. My contact form 7 submissions don’t fire a Lead event in the FB Pixel Helper Chrome extension, and most plugin support authors are pointing to your AutoOptimize plugin killing off some Javascript, or some conflict that breaks JS code.

    My page is at: https://chennaidreamhomes.com/contact/
    Can you help?

    Thanks,
    Tara
