    Hello.

    Thanks for the great plugin.

Have query re the Facebook pixel tracking and variations. Seems the specific variation ID is not tracked upon adding to the basket, but the variable product ID is.

For example on the page below:
    https://casefurniture.com/contemporary-furniture-products/stanley-3-seater-sofa/

Product ID is #24241. If you add a variation to the basket, the content_id is still logged as the parent product, #24241, not the specific variation added to the basket. Is that intentional for some reason, is it possible to track the specific variations?

    Thanks,

    Ian.

    Hi Eva,

Thanks for the speedy reply. We’re using the option supplied by your plugin, with the ‘Add Facebook Pixel’ option enabled.

g:id is mapped to Product ID in the field mappings as per the article.

Have ‘Include product variations’ enabled and ‘Only include default product variation’ disabled on the feed.

    Best.

    Ian.

    Hi Ian,

I have done some more investigation into the issue and found the possible cause for it not working. Most likely you are using a theme or plugin that changes the CSS and/or JS-code of the default variation WooCommerce drop-downs.

Every time a new variation is chosen for a variable product by changing a value in the drop-downs our plugin picks-up on that and determines what the product ID of the selected variation is. That variation product ID is then used for the Facebook pixel. Our plugin uses the default WooCommerce CSS names and classes for this. These however have been changed in your case by your theme or plugin causing our plugin not to detect these drop-down changes.

Unfortunately this is not something we can fix.

    All the best,
    Eva
