• So quite simply this plugin does not seem to work. It definitely does not seem to work with a Genesis theme (1.8.1) .

Facebook Plugin comments section does not generate any comments and the installation instructions do not mention that the plugin sends you over to developers.facebook.com to pick up iframe script to then manually insert into your theme.

Frankly, using the Facebook Comments Plugin by Alex Moss is infinitely better. Why doesn’t Facebook simply pay Alex a couple hundred thousand dollars and have him build his plugin all over again for Facebook?

This plugin was a waste of time and way way over hyped

  • I just noticed something interesting.. When I click the send button on a post here–> cops.com the pop up window is only partially shown. I wonder if there is some restriction on the container size and if perhaps the comments are there but just hidden..

I think I have found the problem just need help in how to fix it. If I view the element that contains the picture and send and FB like button it shows a set height of 627.6px How do I adjust the height to a larger value? again sample page is here cops.com

I figured it out…. If I select All Posts… then below your post title select Quick Edit… Then check Allow Comments.. The FB comments section shows up… It Works!!!!!

I am using Genesis Framework licensed and Facebook comments, Recommendations Bar not show. Please help me fix it ??
    Anyone please help me :((
    Thanks and best regards

brettbum: Our mistake– we generally only close threads if the original poster’s problem is fixed.

What theme are you using? What version of WordPress? We haven’t seen any issues with comments just not appearing. Can you provide more debug info?

I am using WordPress 3.4 running blaskan theme. The comments area, share and like buttons are all not working. The only thing that is working is the post to page and tagging features when I write the post. Once the post is published all the FB buttons are missing as well as the comment box. I’ve tried deactivating and activating the plugin, have also tried uninstalling and installing it to no avail. The FB plugin worked perfectly the first day I installed it but has not worked since. @matt Kelly(Facebook): My site run Genesis Framework License. I’ve just install Facebook plugin but: Comments, Recommendations Bar not show. I don’t know how to fix it?
    Please help me.
    Thank matt Kelly

Can you try 1.0.1 (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/facebook/changelog/) and let me know if you’re still seeing issues? Thanks

Jean: actually, they weren’t appearing because they weren’t enabled (oops).

They’re working fine for me with Blaskan. https://www.mattkel.ly//6-20-2012%203-39-13%20PM.png

How do I enable it? I ran the installation and set up a FB app etc. It was working the first day but has not been working since.
