Facebook plugin not posting to fanpage if left overnight

  • Ok, So I hve the Facebook plugin up and running fine. I can get it to post to my fan page no trouble at all. It even does it if i create sheduled posts which is what i need it to do.

    BUT, every morning i check my page and there is no post on facebook! So i checked my settings and I can see that the Social Publisher option keeps puting my “Publish to fan page” back to “Disabled”. Im not sure if this is happening over night or if this happens at the time the post is due to be published.

    If i create a test post and set it to publish in 5 minutes then it works perfectly. Im guessing its a time setting that is defaulting at midnight or something. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

  • I have similar situation.

    “Publish to fan page” has already link to my facebook, and selected the correct fanpage. However, the setting didn’t stay on, it just auto-disabled when I log out of my facebook.

    With facebook already log in.
    1) Click, “Link your Facebook account to your WordPress account to enable.”
    2) WordPress page refresh, Drop-down menu appear.
    3) Select from the drop-down menu to the fanpage. By default is “Disable”
    4) Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of wordpress page.

    I have 4 blogs, 2 of them working well even without the need for facebook login. Made comparison of fb apps and wp pluging settings, I don’t see any differences. And it doing fine.

    So I sure somewhere is not right.

    Well, looks like it is not just us two then! Check this.

    Looks like the Facebook login is timing out after two hours so when its time to post WordPress cannot login. Well, that’s how i read it anyway.
