FACEBOOK POSTS HAVE DISAPPEARED?

    This morning I was shocked to see that all the posts I have created using the addtoany app have disappeared from ALL the Facebook pages that I manage? Has something changed with Facebook? Or with the app? Please let us know what next steps to take. Yikes!

  • Finally someone else posted this – i was starting to think it was a glitch on my site.

    I had noticed that when i tried to share i got a facebook error (that has since resolved itself) but at that same time i noticed that thousands of posts i have shared from my website to facebook groups had vanished!

    Now the question is, are they recoverable or no? I cannot find any trace of them in the backend stuff on the facebook group.

    Just realized that the addtoany posts that were shared on followers timelines are also gone. Not good!

    Anyhow, I am definitely getting rid of AddToAny and using something else ….

    I thought it was Facebook but then I noticted that it was every single post I have shared using AddToAny. Therefore it can be nothing else but the plugin that is the issue. However, no changes have been made by me so the origin of this problem must be the developers. The fact that pages that have been posted can just disappear is really a bad bad bad glitch. Hopefully they will wake up and recover instead of just fixing the issue.

    Here, too, all the posts published on Facebook through this plug in have disappeared into thin air. Even if it were the fault of the plug-in because posts published even 4 months ago disappeared? It is something that makes no sense

    Facebook posts have been restored. Thanks for the reports.

    What happened is Facebook responded to a DMCA takedown request, which erroneously included URLs containing AddToAny’s App ID, by disabling the AddToAny App on Facebook Platform without warning.

    Facebook shouldn’t have let this happen, so AddToAny is working with Facebook to prevent this from happening in the future.
