Facebook posts no longer showing & plugin demo page not working

    A website I help with,borders.co.uk, was displaying posts OK but has stopped working. The linked Facebook header is displayed but no posts appear and I am getting the following message:

    Unable to display Facebook posts

    Error: An unknown error has occurred.
    Type: OAuthException
    Code: 1
    Please refer to our Error Message Reference for a solution.

    I did add another facebook feed to the website yesterday (Project Hawick button on the homepage) but it worked OK yesterday. Also the plugin demo page is not now showing posts for the Facebook pageID either(www.borders.co.uk) which is strange.
    I’d be grateful for any suggestions?!

    Hi hlmcneill,

    This is unfortunately due to a bug in the Facebook bug API related to offer posts. We’ve filed a bug report to let Facebook know about the issue and hopefully it will be resolved soon: https://developers.facebook.com/bugs/532751426911934/

    To get around this for now until they fix the issue you can either remove the offer post from your Facebook page, or you can obtain a “User” Access Token (directions here) and add that to the plugin’s Settings page, which should fix the issue.

    Let me know whether that helps, and I apologize about the issue. It’s always frustrating when there are Facebook bugs but it’s something we have to live with unfortunately!

    I have obtained a User Access Token and the feed seems to be working perfectly now.
