I am using the NextScripts plugin to post to facebook, and have configured the settings to generate an Image Post using the Timeline. That is, I have checked the “Timeline” box and not the “App Album” box.

Photos are consistently added to an app album, regardless of which one I check. I can check “Timeline” and it goes to the app album. I can check “App Album” and it will go to the app album.

I am reasonably sure I am using it as described in the documentation. The only thing I can think of is that Facebook uses an album called “Timeline Photos” as opposed to just “Timeline” or “Wall/Timeline”. Is there an issue there somehow? Or does the script just always go to the app album now?

    Thanks.

Facebook sends all images to app album if timeline album does not exist. Please create it by manually posting one image.

I saw that in the instructions and believe I did that (years and years ago). I post most of my images just directly on my timeline and they end up in an album called “Timeline Photos”. I even posted another one by hand this morning just to make sure.

    Am I missing something?

I’ve checked and double checked. The timeline album definitely exists. For some reason, the NextScripts plugin doesn’t use it. New posts always go to the app album.

Are there any funny permission things to check? Can you think of a reason the plugin would fail to find the timeline album even though it exists?
