Facebook share button issues

I am in the process of setting up a new website using wordpress 3.8.1, woocommerce, wootheme (memorable) and have installed a plugin (Simple Share Buttons Adder) for sharing blogs etc. All the share buttons work (pintrest, twitter, tumblr etc) however the facebook share button does not. It opens the facebook share window and rather than taking a brief paragraph and image from the blog it just has the site title and the site website URL, no images etc. The site is in maintenance mode so I wondered if this may be the cause of the problem, however I have briefly taken it off maintenance mode and still no images or text from the page. Any help or advice gratefully received. By the way, I use the same share buttons on another site I administer without this problem (using a different theme by woothemes)
