    Hello,

    Since about a week we have a problem on our sites (multi site setup WPML).
    When we use the sharing function, it opens a popup to share it on Facebook. All is fine.
    But on the preview you then get the image won’t load and it also won’t load when we use the Facebook debugger (code 206).
    It only works when we post the url manually in a post on the FB website.

    In the Yoast SEO plugin we entered all necessary data and see that the meta og: tags are in the header.
    All pages that have the link possibilities are effected. You can check a second website here:

    Thanks for using Yoast SEO plugin and also for reaching out to us with the issue on Facebook debugger not showing the image.

    I checked the page you have shared with us via the Facebook debugger tool, I noticed that even though the Facebook debugger is able to parse the og:image URL, the issue is occurring at the end of the Facebook debugger preview.

    This occurs when the debugger is not able to output the image properly. So to confirm this, you can copy-paste the og:image URL within the debugger tool and scrape it. You will notice a black image as preview, which means there is some issue with the debugger to output the image.

    When I tried to share the link on Facebook via a FB page, I noticed that Facebook is able to output the og:image without any issues. So the issue you have noticed is due to some issues at the end of debugger to output the image preview.

    This issue persists for all websites scraping on the Facebook debugger tool. So the Facebook team needs to fix this within their debugger as the preview works correctly when sharing the link on the Facebook app or website.

    Hello,

    The problem not only exists in the debugger, but also as sharing from the site. I already found a question in the Facebook support from june which is not resolved yet. So it is waiting on Facebook.
