Facebook showing general events but none installed??

    Hi guys

    Im confused as my adverts dashboard is showing that im getting both page views and general events but ive not got any general events set up?

    And also with me only having a small local business i cant be getting as many views as it says? it says 116 views yeterday alone, id be amazed if im getting that amount of visitors to my site- ive no ads running and to compare, Facebook told me the other day i had 6 people view my site which seems far more accurate

    Is there anything i can check to see why im getting these stats?

    Hi,

    The plugin installs those two events by default: the PageView event is always added by the FB pixel and the GeneralEvent is an option we have that can be used for Custom Audiences.

    The events are fired each time one of your pages is loaded, so those numbers are closer to page views. Maye someone was browsing your site a lot that day. You can compare those numbers with Google Analytics stats, for example.

    I suggest you test the pixel with Pixel Helper and see if there are any problems on your site: https://www.pixelyoursite.com/facebook-pixel-helper-errors
