    Hi All

I am facing a couple of problems with Elementor

    1) I am unable to edit the Blog section of my site with Elementor as the Elementor just does not show as an option to open the page through it.

    2) When I click the edit with elementor button on the Contact Us page, the page refreher only about 40% and then the screen goes all white and the contact us page does not appear in the edit mode in elementor.

    3) Even for pages (which I can edit through elementor) in general the header, etc do not show when I open the page to edit in elementor.

    Can someone please help?

    Thanks
    Manish

  • I had this same problem about a week ago.
Go to Theme Panel and check the Blog Panel box
Then go to Appearance – Customize and then Blog, customize your set up there
After that when you do a Post, Elementor shows up for editing

AS to Elementor not loading, there are lots of posts about expanding your PHP memory settings to at least 128 and see if your PHP version is up to 7.

    Hi Les

I tried what you suggested about the blog but my blog is still uneditable with Elementor.
I went to Theme Panel and the blog panel box was already checked and I also customized blog but it is not working.

    Thanks

What theme are you using? Many of the settings and options are Theme sensitive.
Logo suggested OceanWP and I have had great success with it.

    Hi,

As Les states, there can be many factors that cause this.

We need to have this info to be able to try and figure out what might be going on:

Hi Les I am also using OceanWP but the blog does not work with Elementor.

I am able to create a new blog post by (clicking Add New in the Posts section) using elementor but when I clicko the All Pages section I see the Blog – All Posts option but I do not see any elementor option there as I see in other pages such as About Us, FAQ……

    I have a similar problem….

I have this issue that I cannot fix. Since I update Elementor and Ocean Extra plugin, my website doesn’t work anymore and I cannot edit anything with Elementor. It’s just a blank page. https://www.sonialisolivagant.com
These are the steps I did:
-Increase my wp memory limit in wp-config file and php.ini file to 256.
-Deactivate all of your plugins. If this solves the problem, gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.
-Did a rollback to the previous Elementor version
-Delete Ocean extra plugin. My website was working, but I need it to do a custom header and other stuff.
-Go to Settings > Permalinks, Change the permalink setting and save, Change the setting back to your original permalink setting and save again

    Anyone ?

    Thank you a lot.

    Hi

My problem is still not solved but I think I have detected the cause of the problem. After having created the blog page when I go to customize and in the Home Page settings choose the Blog Page as the Posts Page, just after that I get a Preview could not be loaded error when I try to open the blog page with Elementor.

Has anyone else faced this problem?

    Thanks

Please both look at the available Elmentor documents for troubleshooting:

    https://docs.elementor.com/article/184-cant-edit-with-elementor

    Hi Logo

I have already looked at those pages and there is no memory or plugin problem here. I removed each and every plugin and checked and there is no issue here.

I am not able to understand why adding the blog page in the Posts Page section disables the Preview. The moment I remove it from the Post Page section I am able to view the blog page with elementor.

Do you know how I can permanently delete pages that I have trashed?

    Thanks

    Hi mjaitly,

We need to have this info to be able to try and figure out what might be going on:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/please-read-before-you-post-an-issue/

As long as you leave us in the dark about the above it will be hard to impossible to try and help.

Les also asked what theme you are using and you never answered?
If you are using a theme that has some hardcoded templates for blog, that might cause this.

I asked to share more info as asked per forum guides, but you do not provide any of this. You do not have to, but if you want to increase your changes of getting free help from volunteers as myself and or support form Elementor, you really need to provide more!

Always wasting time to ask for this is not helping your case to be honest ??

Do you know how I can permanently delete pages that I have trashed?

Yes, go to page overview, trash and check the trashed pages, then hit “delete permanently.

    Wait a second…

I am able to create a new blog post by (clicking Add New in the Posts section) using elementor but when I clicko the All Pages section I see the Blog – All Posts option but I do not see any elementor option there as I see in other pages such as About Us, FAQ……

If that blogpage is set to act as a “blogpage” in WordPress settings, then it is perfectly normal that you can not edit that page in any way.

The default blog page, will get populated with blogposts as soon as you create posts, but in that actual blogpage, you can not edit anything!

If you are using OceanWP as a theme, then you can style and order the layout of the blog using the customizer, but I still do not have a clue about your url and theme so..

Yes this problem is resolved. Actually it is behaving just the way it is meant to. There is no error!
