• Hi,
I have integrated WooCommerce square plugin on our site along with elementor pro and hello elementor theme. I have noticed frequently I am seeing increased number of failed orders. And reason in INVALID_CARD_DATA. Can i get some more information about this what this issue is? And is this issue on our site or that is from Square API?

Just want to get more information about this error? Why our failed orders are getting this error? I am using the latest WooCommerce Square plugin and other plugins are updated as well.

    Hi @dev1122 ,

Thanks for providing the details about what you’re experiencing. It sounds like you’re doing everything right by keeping your plugins up to date.

The INVALID_CARD_DATA error typically means the information entered by customers doesn’t match their card details or their bank is declining the transaction. This usually happens on the Square side and isn’t caused by your website.

To make sure it’s nothing on your site, please check your Square settings in WooCommerce and ensure that all required fields match Square’s requirements. Also, asking your customers to double-check their card details can sometimes help.

    Hi @reynierc,

Thanks for confirming this. Also is there anything in the logs section or somewhere i can see the card information’s put for customer?

I just want to confirm that is there any case that the customer is putting the card information but it is not sent properly to Square?

    Hello dev1122,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand you’re concerned about whether customers’ card information is being properly transmitted to Square.

For security reasons, WooCommerce does not store or display customers’ credit card details.
However, you can review the Order Notes for each transaction to see if there are any error messages or issues related to payment processing.

To access Order Notes, navigate to WooCommerce > Orders, select the specific order, and scroll down to the Order Notes section. This area will provide information on the payment status and any errors encountered during the transaction.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have more questions or concerns.
We are here to help ??

    Best regards.
