Failed orders: payment method changes to first method after editing address

    First of all, we’re loving Woocommerce so far and it works great.
    Just after the last Woocommerce update I got this huge problem at the checkout page and could really use some help:

    When customers select their payment method, then edit of fill in their address, the payment method section refreshes and doesn’t remember what has been selected before. IE if customer selected the last method, after refresh the first method is ticked.

    Edit: this is also happening when the customer first fills in the address, then doens’t click the background of the survey. When customer selects payment system, it immediately refreshes and selects the first payment method.

    So the result is a lot of failed orders ??

    How can I fix this?

    Any help is appreciated.

    When you type in a field, there should be a very small timeout before it refreshes, even if you don’t click out of the field.

    Do you see this?

    I really appreciate your help!

    What happens is when I’m typing in a address field, when I stop typing for less then a second it refreshes allready (cursor still in the field). When I add 1 character to the field (cursor still in the field) it refreshes again.

    I have been downgrading Woocommerce to 2.5.4. but the problem is still there.

    The solution would be, I think, that the payment method selection is stored before the refresh and automatically selected after refresh.

    HI Sandy,

    This is intended. When the address fields are changed, things such as shipping methods and taxes, even payment method availability, need to update. Otherwise that area could show wrong information.

    Storing data from that area would be a security risk, if for example you had a credit card plugin as one example.
