Failed payment creates no failed order

In Woocommerce subscriptions (recurring payments):
The standard process currently is so that when a payment fails, the order goes to “on-hold”, but when we have disabled “Enable automatic retry of failed recurring payment”, the order should go to Failed Order.
Why is the above process not used? Now we have to manually set the order status to failed. Cause we don’t want automatic retry of failed payments.
