    Hello, I have a problem for recuring paiements, when there is not enough money on the card and the payment is declined, it still showes as paid on the membership account and it is prolounged for the next period.

    1. Can I try again to retrieve the paiement?
    2. The subscription is renewed and if I don’t verify the person keeps their whole access until I know they didn’t actually pay. How can I have the right information in the member account?

    I use a plugin from a local bank, so your help is really needed to understand why this error occurs.

    Hi there, thank you for reaching out to the Paid Memberships Pro team.

    Paid Memberships Pro waits for the payment gateway to process a payment as well as any renewals. Depending on the gateway, they normally decide how many times they will retry the failed charge before sending a cancellation notice to your website.

    We do not record the failed payment events and while the payment is failing, the member’s membership will remain active until the failed payment limit (determined by the gateway) is reached, they then cancel the subscription and we cancel the membership accordingly.
