    Hi Michael,

I have been trying to install google reCaptcha to our constant contact form but with no luck. I have created new reCaptcha, and added site&secret keys, however, when I try to submit form from our site I keep receiving; “Failed reCAPTCHA check”

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thank you,
    Mendo

@cre8id can you reply to them and have them connect us off of the forums?

For what it may be worth, the found issues with Mendo above were that Google was returning an error of “invalid-json” which lead to answers around the issue of “allow_url_fopen” being disabled for their hosting account. Not sure if that’s a topic you know how to check on, but worth checking if you do.

The stackoverflow thread that lead to the conclusions: https://stackoverflow.com/a/30552041/668937

Other than that, have them cc me into the offline contacting threads.

    Hi @tw2113

I have been having the same issue on CC google recapcha. I am getting a Failed reCAPTCHA check when I submit the form. I was on the phone with CC and they recommended I contact you on this forum.

    Hey @rmaizis

The easiest steps would be to check and see if allow_url_fopen is disabled for your current hosting account, as that’s been a consistent thing as of recent with this forum thread. If you’re not sure how to check that, your hosting support may be able to help as well.

We do have an open issue regarding this to try and help users as much as possible, but we haven’t gotten it into a release yet.

I am receiving the same Failed message. Constant Contact suggested I add to this thread. I have disabled reCAPTCHA at this time until you find a solution. Thanks!

The replies about allow_url_fopen and getting that enabled for your hosting, if possible, is going to be the quickest solution at the moment, until we get potential conditional checks in place in the plugin.

Hoping to have this one taken care of in version 1.3.5. We will check if allow_url_fopen is available and if it’s not, switch to a different HTTP request method for the reCAPTCHA check.
