This is the warning I receive when I activate in root folder, please help me.

The error means that this file: /bulletproof-security/admin/htaccess/secure.htaccess cannot be copied and renamed to your website root folder: /public_html/.htaccess.

Go to the BPS System Info page and copy this info on the System Info page below and paste it in your reply:

I have also this error in the status page

ERROR: The WP readme.html file is not htaccess protected

Ok everything looks good above. The readme.html file and wp-config.php checks will go away when whatever is causing the root htaccess file copy and rename problem is fixed.

Click the Create secure.htaccess File AutoMagic button. Do you see an error message or do you see a success message displayed?

Go to the htaccess File Editor tab page and copy and paste this information at the top of the page (note you will not see this exact text):
File Open and Write test successful! The secure.htaccess Master file is writable.
File Open and Write test successful! The default.htaccess Master file is writable.
File Open and Write test successful! The wpadmin-secure.htaccess Master file is writable.
Your root htaccess file is Locked with Read Only Permissions.
Use the Lock and Unlock buttons below to Lock or Unlock your root htaccess file for editing.
File Open and Write test successful! Your currently active wp-admin htaccess file is writable.

If you see and error message when clicking the Create secure.htaccess File AutoMagic button post that error message.

If you see a “success” message then do the htaccess Core htaccess Files Setup Steps:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/setup-stepstroubleshooting-stepsremoval-stepsrequirementscompatibility?replies=1
htaccess Core htaccess Files Setup Steps:

Success! Your BulletProof Security Root Master htaccess file was created successfully!

Ok now do this troubleshooting step:

    1. Select the Deactivate Root Folder BulletProof Mode (Default Mode) Radio button on the Security Modes page and click the Activate|Deactivate button.

Is Default Mode successfully activated or do you see an error message?

Ok at this point you will need to contact your web host. One of these problems below is occurring on your host server:

    1. the host server does not allow htaccess files to be copied/added to your website root folder.
    2. the host server is blocking the file copy to the website root folder.
    3. the host server has some sort of restriction on the website root folder.
