    Hi,
Recently I wanted to enable the social sharing module but upon starting Hustle a red square popped up that says:
    Failed to initialize plugin: hustle

Upon saving the plugin settings it just hangs and never saves anything anymore. I can’t even unpublish the social sharing module.

I’ve found a thread about a possible solution here:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/failed-to-initialize-plugin-hustle/
but being an 8months old thread and already solved issue I figured I’d rather ask if this is the same issue.
I already rolled back to the previous version but it didn’t solve the issue.
All plugin and wordpress is up to date.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I’ve updated to the latest version again and it seems that despite the error message that pops up in the admin area hustle is sort of working. The pop-up that I set up earlier still working but I can’t get the social plugin to either disappear or save platforms…

    Hello @yondermann

I hope you are doing well!

A bug reported in the thread you have shared was fixed long time ago. On your site, it looks like the issue happening because of a conflict with a plugin or a theme.

Please run a quick test for a conflict:
    – Deactivate all plugins besides Hustle, switch to a default WordPress theme and see if the issue is still there
    – If Social Share is showing up and you can save settings, please start enabling one plugin at a time, every time checking if the issue is back.

This way you will find with what plugin there is a conflict. Please have a backup of your site before running this test, so if something will go wrong, you can always restore it back.

Let us know how it went!

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Hi,

It seems that the WP Recipe Maker plugin is causing the issue. If it’s enabled then I can’t edit or save the social share feature. When I disable WP Recipe Maker I can edit the social shares.

After enabling the wp recipe maker hustle social shares loads and works on the site but still can’t be edited in the backed without turning the wp recipe maker off again.
The social share icons are working but if I had a small suggestion. Would it be possible to make the pinterest button pick up the images that have data-pin-description or data-pin-id. A given page can have more of those but optimally only one image that is optimized for pinterest has it. So it would make sense to look for it and pick it up when sharing images to pinterest.

One more thing. I set to show the social share to display on category pages but it does not. My main menu items are simple category pages and the plugin doesn’t show up there either wp recipe maker turned on or off.

    Thanks!

I’ve found the solution for the social sharing panel not showing in category pages. I had to enable to show on archive pages and it works on category pages as well.

    Hello there @yondermann

I really appreciate the feedback about the WP Recipe Maker plugin. It seems that this was also reported by another user recently and our devs are investigating it. We’ll keep you posted here as soon as there’s any development about it.

I’m also sharing the requests about the optimized Pinterest images, many thanks for sharing this! ??

    Warm regards,

Hello, I am also having this problem and am a user of WP Recipe Maker.
Also, have an Embed on my primary sidebar. It shows up on the homepage, but is blank on all other pages. Is it all related? Is there something else I should be looking at?

    Thank you!

I’m not familiar with your theme but it very well could be that your widget -that contains the embed- is only enabled on the homepage.
You have to enable it for the rest of the pages.

Not sure what happened in the latest updates as I haven’t updated yet but if you disable recipe maker then you can make the changes you want in hustle. When you have finished with the settings turn on recipe maker. It worked for me.

As @yondermann mentioned that might not be related to the WP Recipe plugin issue. It is better if you will open a separate thread for this problem so we can check it.

    Hi,
Sorry I didn’t get back to you. Yes it’s working now. I don’t get the error message when I open the social media tab and I can change options without problems.

I’ve got a problem the plugin picking up pictures from the page for pinterest but I opened a different thread for that.

    You can close this ticket.
    Thank you!
