Failed to insert log entry

    Hi Par,

    Thanks for the great plugin ??

    I got an error in my error_log file:

    [22-May-2018 14:31:44 UTC] Failed to insert log entry:

    I looked at Simple History, and the only thing that shows up for 5 days ago is:
    Finding your plugin’s updates / Updated plugin “Simple History” to 2.22.1 from 2.21.1

    Could that error be related to updating your plugin? It’s the first such error I’ve seen.

    Not sure about this, I can’t find the string “Failed to insert log entry” anywhere in my plugin. Does the plugin still work and log things correctly?

    Yes, your plugin seems to still be working and logging things. I have no idea where to go with that error. Maybe only coincidence that the only thing I see in Simple History on that same day of the error loading is updating your plugin???

    could you click on the time/date of that event and paste the info in the table with all information that will pop up? hopefully that can give some more details about this.

    Are you using iThemes Security by any chance?

    Thanks Par, yes, I’m using iThemes Security, and I did go through that thread prior to opening this ticket.

    The article at the bottom of that ticket even lists out specific plugins that have the issues with IP address lengths in the database, but didn’t match my plugins. Unfortunately, I couldn’t really figure out how to use that thread to fix my problem…

    Ok, since no one else has reported anything similar to this I believe that the problem is within iThemes Security.
