Failed to load resource: 403 (Forbidden)

  • Hallo,

    I have noticed in the console the following error:
    “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403(Forbidden)” with reference to style.css (main theme and child theme) and script.js (child theme)
    Is it possible that the following error is causing the website to slow down? Is there any possibility to solve the problem?

    I have tried in the meantime to correct the path in my child-theme /html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/flatsome-child/functions.php and part of the file was not present. From now I don’t get any error regarding style.css and script.js

    Looking at the pagespeed result it looks like the website responds very good but I get still issues regarding the loading time.

    When inspecting the website via Inspect Element > Timelines I see the website need between 4/5 seconds in order to load the page and the section “Layout & Rendering” says “style is no longer valid” “style has been recalculated”.

    What I have forgotten to say, is how the wordpress-dashboard also loads very slowly. Could be maybe a problem with RAM or PHP version?
    Unfortunately I still can not download PHP 8 because of some problems with WooCommerce

    I continue to be unable to comprehend this. For me, the first response time is 200ms – less is almost impossible. Also, I still do not see the errors.

    PHP 8.0 you can also use with WooCommerce already loose. I would not recommend newer versions of PHP yet.

    Sorry, I try to explain it better.
    Inspecting the website (as you can see from the attached picture) I see the website needs almost 5 seconds in order to start loading the page. This is something I don’t get. It looks like something is slowing down the loading’s beginning.

    Regarding the PHP 8 I still get issues with my theme. Need to contact them in order to solve them.

    I don’t know what this tool of yours is. In Chrome you can see in the Network tab that the response time is around 150ms. See:

    Since I don’t know your tool, I can’t judge what you see there. It could be a time history of browsing the website. Then from the first call to the last action before your screenshot would be around 6 seconds. But that would have no relevance for the loading time, which as I said is considerably lower.

    The tool I have use is called Web Inspector for IOS. I reconize the loading time is low, but I don’t get why it waits around 6 seconds for browsing the website.
