    Hi,

Google inspect element-console- shows errors: : failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()

The error refers to two image files. They are old image files. One of them was replaced with a new file and the other was deleted.

Could someone help me fix this issue? What exactly is the right way to delete images from WordPress media library? where did I go wrong?

    Please help

It’s not the existence of the images in the media library that is the problem, but that your website is “calling” (ie linking) to images that are NOT present in the media library. So the solution is to remove this “calling” (ie linking) from your website. Media Library has nothing to do with this.

The two images are referenced as background images in some “cached inline CSS” code from some “ET Builder” on your website. A quick search showed this is some legacy page builder plugin from Elegant Themes.

If you’re sure the images are no more referenced in this “ET builder”, clear ALL your caches to get rid of the stale code, and let’s see what happens.

If this continues to be a problem, I’m afraid you will have to consult the authors of this “ET Builder”, as this is not a free-distributed product, so we can’t even install it and try to help you.

    Good luck!

    Thanks a lot, George.

I will clear the caches, and talk to the ET support. Keeping my fingers crossed ??

    Regards
