    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into issues.

Does this happen on all pages of your site, or only the dashboard? Does this happen when you’re logged out of your WordPress account as well?

If the problem seems limited to your own logged in visits, could you try to deactivate the Notifications module, and let me know if the issue disappears?
If it does, could you then try to activate it back, and let me know how it goes?

    Thanks!

looks like it only happens when I am logged in with notifications enabled. When I disable notifications the problem disappears, but when I re-enable them the problem returns.

Thanks for giving that a try. Could you now go to this page, make sure you’re logged in to your WordPress.com account so you can see the admin bar at the top of the page, and let me know if you experience the same issue?

I was already logged into my wordpress.com account, but I went ahead and signed out and in again, but the problem persists.

That’s interesting; it would seem the problem isn’t related to Jetpack, but to your connection to WordPress.com.

Could you try to delete your browser’s cookies and try again?
