    Hello and happy holidays!

I have an issue I have never seen before and can’t seem to find anyone who has experienced similar.

Has anyone ever seen an error like this? It’s now my homepage:

Warning: require(/home/content/49/10847049/html/wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-posts-controller.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/49/10847049/html/wp-settings.php on line 228

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/content/49/10847049/html/wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-posts-controller.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5_4/lib/php’) in /home/content/49/10847049/html/wp-settings.php on line 228

I don’t know if this happened after an update, but I think it might have.

As always, thank you so much for your expert help.

    Kind regards

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Seventeen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Thank you for the tip, James.

I was able to fix it.
It was a bad wordpress install, so I simply did a manual update and it worked again.
I had to do everything through FTP because I couldn’t access any of the pages.
I learned a lot and I appreciate the resource this forum provides.

    Happy holidays
