• Witnessing the following error on website

Warning: require(/home/runcloud/webapps/mainsite/wp-includes/pluggable.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/runcloud/webapps/mainsite/wp-settings.php on line 374

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/runcloud/webapps/mainsite/wp-includes/pluggable.php’ (include_path=’.:’) in /home/runcloud/webapps/mainsite/wp-settings.php on line 374

There has been a critical error on your website.

Prior to this error, website wasn’t displaying elements like logo and some embedded images, while displaying images used in page builder. I refreshed the cache and this error popped up.

Here is what I’ve done by far :-

    1. Included wp error on screen
    2. Re-uploaded both files ‘pluggable.php’ and ‘wp-settings’
    3. Re-named both ‘plugins’ and ‘theme” folder
    4. Fixed file permissions for both folder and files with filezilla
    5. Restarted server 1 time.

    Please help me out.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,
I am talking from a windows server point of view using WordPress. I have just had the problem too https://www.epnetstreaming.com/
I have been using WordPress for many years now I get permissions denied but in the form of error 500 permission denied no other information for me to work with. On a Windows server I eventually allowed iis_users (as opposed to Users) full permission and then it worked my images were displaying. As far as I am concerned this permission setting I am using allows anyone from the Internet to write to my website which is really a dangerous position to be in. So don’t know but I am sure your problem is a “permissions” problem. I would re-apply them on your website.
