I’m trying the free version, setup the smtp gateway and received properly the test email. The panel showed 34 emails sent, I only received the test ones. How come? Yes I check my spam folder.

    Hi @supashot

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Please kindly know, that this report shows a summary of all sent emails from your WordPress site.

Whenever your website executes the wp_mail() function, it will count as an email notification. Please note, that the WP Mail SMTP plugin uses the wp_mail() function. Any emails sent through the wp_mail() function on the website will be routed through our plugin.

    These emails could be:

    – WordPress user registration emails
    – WordPress reset password emails
    – Form email notifications (for example contact forms, quotation forms, payment forms created using the WPForms plugin, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, or using similar plugins)
    – Order notification emails (if you have an eCommerce store set up on your site)
    – WordPress comment management emails (comment moderation/comment published)
    – WordPress plugin notifications (Eg: update notifications etc)

So, these emails are not necessarily sent to your inbox.

Since you are using the WP Mail SMTP Lite (free) version, as a companion tool, you can also install the WP Mail Logging plugin. It’s a free plugin that helps you to track all emails that were sent from the website.
