• So I’ve been added to the list of folks who seem to get this message for no reason. I’m fairly new to the WordPress thing, but I’ve been trying to figure this out on my own. I’m using the newest WP version and the newest CF7 version. I’m hosted on a Linux Server (12.04). So the threads I saw about issues with Windows Servers don’t help me. Other Plugins installed are Askimet, Download Monitor, Email Before Download, wp-Stripe, a self written stripe plugin that I’m still kinda working on, and WP Mail SMTP.

    So far I have tried:
    Disabling all other plugins.
Disabling all other plugins except SMTP.
Deleting all files for CF7 and reinstalling.
Deleting all files for SMTP and reinstalling.

This plugin did work at one point but now it does not. I have some one else you is using this for some testing purposes as well and I know that he was using the SMTP, so I don’t know what settings he might have changes and if that is my issue. But I figured possibly not seeing as I have deleted it and reinstalled. I have access to the server if the issue lies with in that as well.

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Twelve theme with all other plugins deactivated?

Yes, I’ve got the default theme, and all plugins deactivated. The site that I’m doing this on is literally an empty site I’ve been using to test stuff out on, and I’ve really not changed much on it.

Why are you using WP Mail SMTP? Have you spoken to your hosts about this?

I am personally hosting this on an EC2 Instance. The other guy on there was using it to test out some issues with EBD.
