It seems like after the most recent Updraftplus update I keep getting this issue where the back up is not getting uploaded to Googledrive. It does the back up part fine but fails during the upload to Google. Last time it worked I think was Nov. 11th or 12th but now I keep getting this error.

I even RE-authenticated my Google with UpdraftPlus thinking that may have something to do with it but even after doing that it still ” Failed to upload to Google Drive”.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

After about 5 or 6 attempts it worked. It did this one night ago too where I had to repeat it quite a few times and then it finally worked.

    weird..

    Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the last few backup logs?
These can be found in the Existing Backups tab.

The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin, and post the links here.

    Hi.

I wqas about to send the last log but realized the last log is of a successful B/U, as I mentioned After about 5 or 6 attempts the b/u worked.

I’m not sure if the other failed logs are kept, and if so can you tell me how to retrieve them. I looked around but didn’t see any log other than the most recent one. If that one is still of use I can send a link to it on my Microsoft once drive otherwise please let me know if the failed logs are available somewhere.

Okay so now on my next B/U attempt I got the “Failed to upload to Google Drive” again.

I uploaded the error log file to OneDrive, let me know if any issues accessing it from the link below.

    Hi,

From the log it appears that the connection between your site and Google Drive is unstable. As such, each upload is being cut off at different points. UpdraftPlus should be able to handle this (as it uses chunked uploads).

The backup log only shows one run. After being timed out, UpdraftPlus should then resume a short time later to complete the backup. If you leave the backup running for at least an hour, does UpdraftPlus resume the backup?

No I normally never had to wait so I never waited once the error started happening. But after you mentioned it I gave it a try and while it does continue after the first error alert it never did complete even after 2-3 hours AND now a different thing happened during that 2-3 hours attempt.

    Here is the latest log:

    Log File

But the thing is traffic is NOT infrequent on my site. so not sure why it gave me that warning..

Oh and also I’ve had this warning: Warning:

“WordPress has a number (10) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. Unless this is a development site, this probably means that the scheduler in your WordPress install is not working.” since I had done a server upgrade BUT I had no problems with the doing backups even while that warning was present.

    Hi,

The log is showing the connection to Google Drive is failing partway through the upload.

Please could you check the firewall logs for the site? It is possible that the firewall is blocking the connection.

It seems to have started working fine for the last little while. It very well may have just been something with the remote storage, either way everything seems fine for now. I appreciate you, your plugin and your support.

    THANK YOU ??
