• Good Morning,

I’m having trouble updating BuddyPress Docs. Per our protocol I’ve updated and tested the plugin in our test environment. I had no issues. I went to install the plugin in production and got the following errors:

Update Failed: Could not copy file. buddypress-docs/lib/js/tinymce/plugins/table/plugin.min.js
Update Failed: Could not create directory. buddypress-docs/includes/templates

I’m having the system admin look at permissions and the error logs, I have no visibility to either. Currently an user can not upload documents or images.

    Thank you

Hi @pandraka – Sorry to hear that you are having troubles.

It sounds to me like WordPress failed to fully update the plugin. It’s hard to know why this might have happened – it could have been a corrupted zip file, an aborted update process (due to running out of memory, perhaps), a file permissions error, or some other server-related problem.

If you have access to the server’s filesystem (via SFTP or another tool), your best bet is to download a fresh copy of BuddyPress Docs from www.ads-software.com, delete wp-content/plugins/buddypress-docs on your server, and replace it with the fresh copy you downloaded. If you’re unable to do this, try deleting the plugin through the WP interface and reinstalling it through Dashboard > Plugins.

Thank you I had to manually update buddypress docs manually. We’re new experiencing a Fatal error

Fatal error: Class WP_Hook contains 1 abstract method and must therefore be declared abstract or implement the remaining methods (ArrayAccess::)
    in E:\Apache2\htdocs\nwgvcop\wp-includes\class-wp-hook.php on line 18

I’m not sure it’s related to the update, but BuddyPress Doc’s was the only plugin that was updated recently. Have you seen this on other intstalls?
    Thanks for all your help

    Good Morning,

It turns out the our server is suffering from a PHP issue. The sysadmins are still working on it. It has nothing to do with WordPress or any WordPress plugins
