Failing on WP 5.5.1

    Installed this plugin for the first time on WP.5.5.1, theme TwentySeventeen and it’s failing quite a lot: sometimes I see the Featured Image defined in the plugin settings, sometimes not. For instance when I share one of the posts to Facebook with no specific featured image, frequently I don’t see the image defined by the plugin.

    Is there anyone using WP clean? I don’t think so! There it goes the many plugins I’m using in my very old WP website:

    I’ve updated the support tag to reflect 5.5.1
    I really should maintain that better…

    The list is not that huge but too big for me to check one by one.
    I don’t see obvious candidates that might interfere.

    Do you see the setting in de media settings?
    None of your posts appear to have a image set right now.
    Do normal featured images show?

    Can you give a link of a page that has a normal featured image and 2 that have a Default featured image?

    Thank you for your reply. Your plugin should show a default Featured Image as defined in settings of same. It doesn’t! If it worked, the image I place in settings of your plugin (default) should appear in the field reserved for that purpose on the column at the right side of the post or page edition panel. It doesn’t! Of course if the author of post/page defines manually a featured image then the image set on your plugin (default) should not supersed the one manually selected by the author.

    Example of post where I manually selected a featured image: https://zb.op351.net/birds-of-same-feather-flock-together/ (I used for Featured Image the very same image embeded in the post).

    Don’t try to find the featured image in the blog because I don’t want it to be shown there. I just want to show the featured image (defualt or selected by author) when I share a post of page in social networks, mainly Facebook. But it doesn’t…

    As suggestion, It would be great if the default featured image placed in your plugin could show up in the “all posts or pages” listing in WordPress.

    Sorry to say this.
    But I’m having a really hard time to understand what you are saying.

    I think I see 2 issues/questions.

    1. The default featured image does not show on Facebook.
    2. Featured image does not show on listing pages, like the blog list?

    Both these issues are not handled by the theme, and are not part of the DFI plugin.
    If you set a regular/manual featured image probably also will not show, that’s the design of the theme.
