    Hi there,

I’m attempting to connect an Amazon S3 bucket to UpdraftPlus backups.

I’ve setup the bucket and the IAM user in the AWS console but every time I click the ‘Test S3 Settings’ button, it fails and returns this error:

    https://cdn-std.droplr.net/files/acc_871017/r7WzeW

“The request signature we calculated does not match the signature you provided.”

From my brief look online, I can’t find any issues with this error message and UpdraftPlus.

Could anyone advise me on what to do to get this sorted?

    Hi,

Can you try creating a unique bucket name? Have you already tried that?

    What do you mean?

This error would usually mean that you’ve entered invalid credentials. The ‘signature’ is computed from the entered credentials. If they are wrong, then consequently the signature will be wrong.

Have you used the AWS key + secret you’ve entered successfully in any other S3-compatible app?

OK, I’ll try recreating my IAM user and trying again.

No, I’ve not, I’ve done S3 and IAM Users before for other S3 backup solutions though.

Must have copied my details in wrong the first time. The same details are now working.

    Thanks for your help!
