I’ve tried this three times and got on support with my host. All three times I get stuck on “restoring database” which just “spins” forever. When I check the site I get this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 96000 bytes)in /home/intercoastal11/public_html/wp-content/themes/dt-the7/inc/admin/theme-options/options-header.php on line 1479.

    Nothing seems to work.

  • I have the same problem. How can we get support for this? I have to complete a migration as soon as possible… it’s critical.

    Hi wpguy1967,

It looks like you are running out of memory.
There are a couple options: you can upgrade your dedicated server to one that is more powerful if that is the issue, or you can update your web server configuration to allow for more memory.
WordPress recommends at least 256MB of available memory and looks like the server failed to proceed after reaching 67MB (that’s what 67108864 bytes equal to).

    Hi ericturcotte,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Have you tried the following steps?
    1. While on restoring database, leave it running for 15 minutes.
    2. After 15 minutes, open another tab and try to login to wp-admin with WP Admin username/password of the exported site
    3. Go to settings -> permalinks and save the permalink structure
At this point the website should be successfully migrated.

Hi, yes I tried that… I ran out of options after reading everything here!

    Hi ericturcotte,

Did you use Find/Replace on export?

    Hi, no.

Just the standard procedure. I usually have no problem migrating website.

Could I provide you with my credentials so see what’s wrong?
