    Hello!

Starting last Friday, 9/23, here’s one example of the following error that has occurred multiple times since:

[2022/09/23 23:19:31] – SUCCESS: Checking if PayPal IPN response is valid
    [2022/09/23 23:19:31] – SUCCESS: Connecting to: https://www.paypal.com/xxx
    [2022/09/23 23:19:41] – FAILURE: IPN validation failed.
[2022/09/23 23:19:41] – FAILURE: Error response: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds
    [2022/09/23 23:19:41] – SUCCESS: Paypal class finished.

I haven’t seen this specific error before, and since Friday it’s happened 14 times.

Multiple new subscribers have reached out to me letting me know that their PayPal payment went through, but they did not receive a registration email. Their account does not show up under the Members area of the plugin. Their payment does show up under Payments with a blank space in the Member Profile column.

Looking through the FAILURE instances in the general debug log file, some are from new subscribers, some are from existing members being billed their monthly payment.

Any idea why this issue has suddenly popped up? Thank you for any help

Hi, you need to speak to your host to find out what is causing the time out from your server?

    Kind regards.

Fortunately the problem seemed to just go away by itself. I’m limited with access to anything having to do with the host or PayPal so luckily it wasn’t needed. I do wish I was able to get more info there.

You should check with your host as support suggested and report back for others who might experience this issue. Hope you get the problem fixed
