    Hi Zoho-Team,

we are an existing Zoho Customer.

When trying to activate your plugin in WordPress Multisite, the system returns a fatal error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /var/www/vhosts/xxx.xxx/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/zoho-subscriptions/zoho-subscriptions.php on line 349

    Could you please verify?

    Much appreciated,

    Holger

  • Holger,

Could you please forward this to support[at]zohosubscriptions.com along with the registered mail address?

    Holger,

A small suggestion for you, please enable the short_open_tag in php.ini. We’ve used the short open tags at few places. Please refer this link for more help. After enabling you need to restart the server. Try this out and get back to us.

    Thanks,
    Sarathkumar,

    Hi Sarathkumar,

I don’t think, that this is the right approach. If you are listing a new plugin on the WordPress directory, one must trust, that it can be activated without any issues. Maybe, the more experienced of us, will be able to find and change the right php.ini, however, WordPress beauty steams from it’s broad scale of different levels of experiences of it’s users.

We planned to use BOOKS & SUBSCRIPTIONS on many sites, however, relying on minor tweaks to keep the plugin working is high risk and not truly an option.

Let me also state, that we very much like your solutions and are very impressed, how they have evolved since we started using them.

I think, there is a huge potential in wisely integrating Zoho and WordPress, but you would be needed to also comply with the standards of the Open Source world.

Please keep up with all the great work, very much appreciated. For now, I won’t use your plugin, but also won’t rate it down. Maybe others will, hence I think, action is needed from your end.

    All the best, Holger

This plugin is really awesome. But it does not work on php 7.0 website.
Could you resolve that? I plan to use this plugin for all our clients projects.

    WPengine Support reply:
“Regretfully I cant restart the server and php ini is not a file that we can edit because you are in a shared environment”

Could you resolve that? I plan to use this plugin for all our clients projects. All clients are on WPengine and most of them on PHP 7.0 = have this issue.

    Hello Everyone,

We have resolved the compatibility on 11th Jan’17 but somehow lost the thread to update. Please download and install the latest version of the plugin 1.1.1. Short open tag has been changed to the original tag for wise support. You may refer here for the change log.

    Thanks,

    Hi Sarathkumar,

great, I was able to activate the plugin now. Many thanks for this, really appreciated.

In our case, we planned to use it for different sites within a multisite. These sites are locations (cities) and we want them to make use of the same plans/products for memberships.

What confuses me, is that Hosted Pages are not ‘location or language-dependent’, similar to the Customer-Portal of Zoho BOOKS. For legal and language reasons, it seems a little strange to only have one hosted page, but maybe, I am getting something wrong here. This is of course more of a general topic and not related to the WP-Plugin alone.

Second, I was hoping, that the plugin will allow me to show the addons as well, but it seems, that I can only add to the URL manually. Additionally, one can only tag ‘Amounts’ in the plans and addons once and one cannot adjust minmums and maximums. In our world, members can only have one plan and one or no specific addon.

Please let me know, whether this is the best place to discuss, or whether we move this to another forum.

    Best, Holger

    Holger,

Thank you for trying out the latest version. Let me answer the queries,

    1. Location/Language-based Hosted pages Language customization is not available for Public Hosted pages right now. We are sorry for the disappointment.

    2. Adding addon (not manually) to the Hosted page – This seems to be an interesting feature. We take a note of it but we are not in a position to commit any timeframe on this.

    3. Adjust minimums and maximums – I assume, this is about the changing quantities of Plans and Addons by the customer. If so, this is possible with us. To have this, customize in hosted page settings Giving quantity as Zero (0) will discard the addon.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Sarathkumar,
    Zoho Subscriptions.
